One portal for logistics companies, whether they run 3 trucks or 300
EUROWAG Office is a web and mobile portal where carriers manage fuel cards, tolls, invoices, tax refunds and their fleet in one place.
What changed
companies across Europe use EUROWAG software
screens in the new Card module, delivered after more than a year of work
points in customer feedback after the pre-launch in August 2024
rounds of user testing with four respondents each, for the Card module
The client
EUROWAG is a leading European provider of products and services for logistics companies.
It makes carriers’ daily work easier: fuel payments, tolls, tax refunds, fleet management and telematics.
The project
Build one easy-to-use web app where every role in a logistics company can manage their tasks.
We started with dispatchers. We brought several systems from acquired companies together into one Live Map, which gives full control over trucks on the road.
Then we focused on owners and the money side: invoices, payment postponement, tax refunds, buying tolls and more.
The portal, the mobile app and the truck navigation all had to look and feel the same across every product in the group.
The challenge
Most EUROWAG clients run up to 10 trucks, but some run hundreds. Every pattern we designed had to work for 3 trucks and for 300, for cards, invoices, tolls and everything else.
My role
- Started as a UI Designer and built up my UX skills before the merger with Sygic
- Became UI Lead: created and managed the design system and the patterns used across the portal, and supported other UI designers
- Ran the first workshops and deep discussions with stakeholders, then led ideation, wireframes, user research, prototypes and testing
- Owned the look and feel of the customer portal, approved design work, prepared handoffs and helped developers during implementation
Our process
We redesigned the Card module with the Double Diamond: two rounds of exploring widely, then narrowing down.
First we listened. Product owners, analytics teams and customer support from several countries told us what customers struggle with. From that we chose the few features that matter most and the problems customers call about most. Then we sketched wireframes, built prototypes and tested them in four rounds with four users each, improving the design after every round. Finally, we handed the designs to developers and stayed with them until the module shipped.

- Final designs and handoff
- Support for developers
- Quick changes for fast delivery
Card management
One of the most crucial parts of the whole platform. Drivers use fuel cards every day, and so do managers and dispatchers. We created an easy flow that protects against fraud and gives the fleet all the important data.

Live Map
One place where dispatchers do their work all day. They can find trucks, fuel stations and parking spots, plan their drivers’ routes and see sensor data to work more efficiently.

EUROWAG Pay and tax refunds
Save up to 20% with tax refunds. Claiming them is usually complicated, but with the EUROWAG tax refunds platform we collect all the necessary data and claim the refunds for you in a few clicks.

Results
- A completely new Card module with more than 400 screens
- Fully responsive, with light and dark modes
- Consistent and accessible across the whole platform
- A design system and patterns used across the entire portal
- Customer feedback after the pre-launch in August 2024: 24 out of 29 points
What the client said
“Your contributions in setting up and defining the design system for all our digital products were invaluable.”
Looking back
Nearly three years with EUROWAG taught me a lot.
As a UX designer, I pushed for accessibility and kept our process focused on users, which led to excellent customer feedback on the new portal. As UI Lead, I built the design system and the patterns used across the whole platform.
